With over two decades of clinical experience, she specializes in helping children, teens, and families navigate anxiety, despair, and stress through evidence-based strategies and compassionate care. She is the co-author of SEEN: Healing Despair and Anxiety in Kids and Teens Through the Power of Connection, a groundbreaking resource for parents, educators, and ministry leaders. Dr. Williams blends neuroscience, psychology, and faith-informed wisdom to equip communities for healing and hope. At this conference, she will lead the keynote session and co-host the parent seminar, offering practical tools and deep insight into the emotional world of children and teens.

Will Hutcherson
Speaker, Youth Pastor
Will Hutcherson is a nationally recognized youth pastor, speaker, and advocate for teen mental health. He has spent over 15 years working with students and families, helping them navigate the challenges of despair, anxiety, and emotional disconnection. As the founder of Curate Hope, Will partners with schools, churches, and organizations to create emotionally safe environments for young people. He co-authored SEEN with Dr. Chinwé Williams, combining clinical insight with pastoral care to offer a powerful framework for healing. Will brings a heart for connection, a gift for storytelling, and a passion for equipping parents and leaders to walk alongside hurting youth. He will co-lead the keynote and parent seminar, sharing practical strategies rooted in empathy, hope, and restoration.

Steve Gaultney
Director, Character Initiatives
Rev. Dr. Steve Gaultney is Director of Character Initiatives, a Hong Kong–based company focusing on character leadership and faith & work. He was formerly the Managing Director of the Faith and Global Engagement (FGE) Program at the University of Hong Kong (HKU) from 2020–2025. Steve is an ordained minister and has pastored international churches in London, Bonn, and Hong Kong, where he served as senior pastor at Community Church Hong Kong for eleven years. Before becoming a pastor, Steve worked with Andersen Consulting (now Accenture) as their UK Marketing Director. He and his wife Marian both grew up in West Africa and have three adult children.

Shirley Lau
Counsellor
Shirley graduated with a Master of Social Sciences (Counselling) from The University of Hong Kong. Shirley is a psychological counsellor at Hub and Spokes International and a Trainer with MindHK. She delivers psychoeducational talks at various schools to parents and teens, promoting mental health awareness and resilience. Drawing from her deep understanding of Hong Kong’s fast-paced culture and years of experience walking alongside women in counselling and ministry, Shirley is dedicated to helping women navigate life’s challenges with clarity and confidence. She brings warmth, authenticity, and hope to her work, creating safe spaces for reflection, growth, and renewed strength—especially for mothers and women in transition.

John Slosted
Discipleship Pastor
John Slosted serves as the Discipleship Pastor at Alliance International Church, overseeing their discipleship classes, community groups, prayer ministry, and youth ministry. His previous experiences include serving youth and marginalised groups in Hong Kong and the USA, his home country. He holds a B.A. in Biblical & Theological Studies from Wheaton College and an M.Div. from Baylor University. His ultimate driving force is the Incarnation, by which God gave himself, calling us to give ourselves to each other. In his free time, he loves to read theology, run along Victoria Harbour, and hang out with his wife Elli and son Jesse.

Kristen Wong
Counsellor, Parent Coach
Kristen Wong, founder of WeNurture, is a compassionate counsellor and certified parent coach dedicated to strengthening families with grace and wisdom. A mother of three, she brings personal insight into both the profound joys and complex challenges of parenting. Holding a Master of Counselling and a coaching certification through Connected Families, Kristen blends over a decade of experience with brain science and biblical wisdom to help clients build grace‑filled, connected relationships. Based in Hong Kong, she speaks to local and regional audiences, equipping them with practical tools and hope‑filled inspiration for building more peaceful, thriving homes.

Emily Kusunoki
Trauma Therapist, Counsellor
Emily Kusunoki is a US National Certified and HKPCA Certified Counsellor committed to helping people heal and grow in safe, supportive spaces. She began her career on the US East Coast, where NGO work inspired her passion for addressing human trafficking and supporting vulnerable communities. After earning her master’s in Texas and training in trauma‑focused therapy models, Emily practiced privately before relocating to Hong Kong. She co‑owned a counselling center for nearly five years and now serves as a therapist at the Hong Kong Dignity Institute, specializing in integrated trauma care for refugees and survivors of exploitation and abuse.

Matt Starkey
Counsellor
Matt is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Qualified Supervisor in Florida, trained in Emotionally‑Focused Couples Therapy and a range of individual approaches from brief therapies to depth psychology. He works with clients seeking practical Cognitive‑Behavioral tools as well as those pursuing deeper characterological growth. As a Registered Nurse, he integrates clear, accessible education about the brain and medications. Matt is passionate about helping people overcome barriers in relationships, career, and inner life, supporting clients facing trauma, neurodivergence, anxiety, and emotional dysregulation. Shaped by his upbringing in China and Malaysia, he honors each person’s unique story, identity, and inherent value.
